Meditation: "In his very first sermon in Nazareth, Jesus announces the mission for which he came to the world; a mission of good news to the poor, recovery of sight to the blind, freedom for the oppressed, and proclamation of the Lord’s favor. Decades later, the Apostle Paul made the astonishing claim to the church at Corinth that everything God was doing in Christ, God was seeking to do through the church. So Jesus’ mission is our mission, and our calling is to keep fulfilling it now in his power."
